Radical liberal activists across the country are rallying behind a Leftist movement to defund the police. Liberal state and local politicians are backing down to their demands. In at least 16 cities from coast to coast, public officials have proposed or pledged to reduce police resources. Minneapolis city councilmembers voted to totally disband their police department and New York City voted to partially defund the NYPD. In response to the partially defunded NYPD budget, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said “Defunding police means defunding police.”

Hi John,

Radical liberal activists across the country are rallying behind a Leftist movement to defund the police. Liberal state and local politicians are backing down to their demands. In at least 16 cities from coast to coast, public officials have proposed or pledged to reduce police resources. Minneapolis city councilmembers voted to totally disband their police department and New York City voted to partially defund the NYPD. In response to the partially defunded NYPD budget, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said “Defunding police means defunding police.”

According to a Quinnipiac University poll, 8 in 10 respondents oppose “eliminating the current police department in their community and replacing it with a new one.” But liberals don’t care. Minneapolis City Councilmember Lisa Bender said she wants to “end policing as we know it.”

Conservatives are making strides toward significant policing reforms in states across the country without allowing our neighborhoods to become the Wild West. We need to continue to tell our elected officials that we, and the vast majority of Americans, do NOT agree with defunding the police.

Sincerely,

Casey Dietrich
