While on our current pace, Philadelphia, we should see the lowest number of homicides and shootings in Philadelphia in over 50 years. But we are far from done, we need to keep the City moving in the right direction so that every Philadelphian feels safe: in their home, on their street, and in their neighborhoods.

That is why I’m unveiling the next step in public safety.

A five-year public safety plan that will be a powerful community-driven approach designed to build a safer and more secure future for every community.

We will be building on what works with input from the community to work together to solve the issues that affect every neighborhood’s unique and individual concerns.

I’m committed to working together — across our city — to ensure the safety of every Philadelphian with a safety plan that reflects the voices that are most affected.

Together, we can take bold steps forward to protect our communities and keep everyone safe.
