| Friend, We're on day 14 of the Government Shutdown, and there's no end in sight. All thanks to the Radical Democrats who are holding Americans hostage until they get what they want. But what do they want exactly?
They're keeping the government closed until they get one thing: free healthcare for illegal immigrants. Let me be clear: if Republicans were able to, in good faith, open the government tomorrow, we would. But Democrats are prioritizing illegal immigrants over the needs of American citizens. I'm working hard to reopen the government, but we won't do it until it's done right. In the meantime, Republicans are trying to put as much pressure on Democrats as possible to get them to give up on their budget fantasies. And that's where you come in. Will you sign my petition demanding Democrats reopen the government IMMEDIATELY and WITHOUT CONFLICT? If Chuck Schumer won't listen to Republican Senators, maybe he'll listen to the American people.
