Friends -

If there's one thing to know about me, it's that I believe the Midwest Is Best. That's why I've started to travel across the Midwest to elevate next generation leaders from the middle of the country.

A few weeks ago, it was a visit to Wisconsin. And this weekend, I took a trip to Pittsburgh -- which, for the record, I absolutely believe is Midwestern (I have learned this is a controversial opinion). While there, we had a packed schedule, supporting great candidates and helping to Get Out the Vote before important 2025 local elections there.

First, I spoke at the Allegheny/Fayette Central Labor Council's annual dinner. Just like Michigan, Western PA’s middle class was built by generations of workers in strong labor unions. Today, just like then, the labor movement continues to be on the front lines in the fight for a fair economy that rewards work.

But Western PA's labor leaders didn't just have a nice dinner -- they showed up the next morning to work. Alongside U.S. Representative Chris Deluzio and Governor Josh Shapiro, we rallied hundreds of union workers before they hit the doors and phones to support a strong slate of judicial candidates up and down the ballot.

I ended the weekend speaking to the Beaver County Democrats at their annual dinner. Beaver County reminds me so much of working class areas of Michigan that used to be solidly blue. Think Macomb County. The truth is that the Democratic Party has left these folks behind, and places like Beaver County need to be at the center of how we rebuild our party.

Of course, in between these events, we made time to experience Pittsburgh. We got a tour of the Carrie Blast Furnace, which for over 70 years produced about 1,000 tons of iron per day. That iron went into the steel that helped build Western PA, Michigan, and America. We also took a quick ride up the Duquesne Incline, one of the few working funiculars in the United States.

Right now, one of the most important things we can do is to win in November 2025 -- in big races from Virginia, to New Jersey, to Pennsylvania. We can show the nation that we are not going to just stand by while President Trump tries to fundamentally change America.

That's why I'm asking you to split a contribution between my campaign and the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, who is funding so many of these critical local judicial races.
