What does Reform UK actually stand for?

When it comes to migration, we’ve got a fair idea. They want a Trump-style militarised mass deportation force and the abolition of indefinite leave to remain. They want to force us all back to some idealised past, one that never really existed, even if it takes a police state to make it a reality.

What else do these “champions of the working class” have in store? Reform UK’s flagship welfare policy proposal, £90 billion in tax cuts for low wage earners, just got ditched ([link removed]) – so not that.

Deputy Leader Richard Tice says they’ll focus on cutting public spending related to “diversity” and “net-zero.” That’s not-so-subtle code for DOGE-style austerity, which quickly led to skyrocketing poverty rates in both Trump’s United States and Javier Milei’s Argentina.

Other than that, what have they got? Handouts to dodgy cryptocurrency gambling rings and American tech barons. A free pass for fossil fuel companies to keep on drilling. Moving the NHS to an insurance-based model. Can’t forget the dodgy Kremlin connections ([link removed]) , nor the financial ties to companies like Nomad Capitalist that specialise in tax avoidance.

Strip away the slogans and scapegoats, and what’s left? Certainly not a tangible plan for Britain. Not a vision for the future. Just a movement built on grievance and distrust, fuelled by wealthy donors. A coalition of contradictions, a party claiming to speak for working people doing the bidding of billionaires.

Farage only thrives because our politics encourages him: a broken voting system that rewards division and mud-slinging, a media ecosystem that gives him endless airtime without asking any of the hard questions, a politics built to serve personality, not principle.

We’ve got the blueprint to begin to make him fight fair. Will this current Government sleepwalk us into Trump-style autocracy, or will we wake up and finally fix this mess?
