Here’s where we’re at right now:
Trump and the Republicans would rather shut down the government than work with us to restore the Medicaid funding that they cut and that will result in 15 million people getting kicked off their health care.
Trump and the Republicans would rather shut down the government than prevent tens of millions of people’s health care premiums from more than doubling if they’re covered under the Affordable Care Act.
Trump and the Republicans would rather shut down the government, fire federal workers, and withhold Congressionally-approved funding from communities than solve the health care crisis they’ve escalated.
I realize that there are lots of big numbers being thrown around during these conversations, but it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about the real people who are impacted by these decisions. The real lives who count on the funding we’re discussing. The real pain that will be inflicted by these cuts.
Republicans are trying to lie and pretend that the health care crisis they created isn’t happening. That’s why one of the most powerful things you can do to fight back right now is to share your story.
So, I want to know: Have you been impacted by Republicans’ cuts to Medicaid? Are you covered under the Affordable Care Act and seeing your costs go up next year? Are you struggling to afford your health insurance already? Have you seen hospitals and clinics in your area close their doors? Please click here to share your story with me and my team.
Sharing your story is a powerful way to fight back. Sharing the real, tangible impacts of the health care crisis will help us push back against Republicans’ lies and diversion tactics.
I’m listening — and I am fighting to make your voices heard.
Thanks for being a part of this,
