While Virginians sit at home without paychecks, Chuck Schumer is holding them hostage—and Mark Warner is throwing a pig roast at his million-dollar mansion in King George.
That’s right. Instead of being in Washington doing his job, Warner and almost every elected Virginia Democrat spent the weekend at a posh party. Not one of them demanded Schumer reopen the government. Not one of them fought for working Virginians.
I was raised to believe you stay until the work gets done. But Democrats don’t seem to get that.
Here’s the truth: Republicans want the government open. Every single one of us. But in the Senate, it takes 60 votes. We only have 53. And Warner, Schumer, and their allies are blocking every effort to end the shutdown.
That’s why we need to hold Warner accountable. He’s one of the wealthiest members of Congress—and it’s going to take every one of us to send him packing in 2026.
