Charlie Kirk Remembrance Day

Dear John,

October 14th marks the first-ever Charlie Kirk Remembrance Day. Today, we remember not just a man, but a warrior whose life and death testify to the power of truth. Charlie’s life, sacrificed for truth, was not wasted. Like the martyrs of old, we believe his blood will be the seed of revival, a reminder that the cause of Christ and liberty will never be defeated. Scripture declares, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” (Psalm 116:15).

Charlie was a friend to Truth & Liberty. He stood shoulder to shoulder with us in the conviction that America’s true strength lies in her biblical foundations. He believed in the founding principles of America, as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Charlie also knew that those founding principles are grounded in the wisdom of Scripture.

As the Apostle Paul wrote, “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). Charlie lived with that resolve, and his martyrdom proclaims it still.

As we reflect on his legacy this October 14th, it is good to remember. But we must do more than remember. We must continue the work—proclaim truth with conviction, live the gospel without compromise, and disciple the nations. Charlie’s voice has been silenced on earth, but his witness speaks louder than ever. And we best honor him not only by an annual remembrance, but by following in his steps every day. Let our work not cease until the knowledge of the glory of the Lord fills the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
