Many people might assume that Democrats running for the U.S. Senate in states like Mississippi and Kentucky don’t have a chance come November. Well, they’d be wrong.
As we continue to build momentum for our campaign to move Mississippi forward, and with polls showing us just a single digit down in the general election, things are also ramping up in Kentucky for Democrat Amy McGrath.
Following Kentucky’s primary election last week, Amy is now officially taking on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in November. Amy is a former Marine fighter pilot and mother of three. She’s had enough of Mitch McConnell turning his back on the best interests of hardworking Americans, and siding with special interests and his deep-pocketed friends instead. Some polls have Amy winning by a point.
Just like me, Amy ran in a hard-fought race back in 2018 and came close to winning. And just like me, Amy will fight for working families, affordable health care, and our democratic values in the Senate. Both of us are going up against opponents who are well-funded by mega donors and Mitch McConnell super PACs (or in Amy’s case, McConnell himself!).
Amy and I know we may be underdogs in the South — but we also know we can win with enough grassroots support. Will you help us defeat Mitch McConnell and Cindy Hyde-Smith and win in November by splitting a contribution of $10 or more to our Senate campaigns today?

We don’t get what we don’t fight for. Together, let’s do the unthinkable and flip both Mississippi and Kentucky blue.
