Across the county, state legislatures are using abusive preemption as a tool to circumvent and disrupt progressive advances and the ability of communities of color to build power. White and right-wing conservative states are attacking our voting rights, education and curriculum, efforts to advance police abolition, living wage ordinances, and the bodily autonomy and healthcare of trans and gender-expansive youth. 

We invite you to join us for a four-part webinar series starting Tuesday, October 21 that will explore the racist history of preemption, its impact on our movements across multiple issues, and create space for strategy ideation to combat it – from narrative shifts needed, to organizing and legal strategies to protect local victories and community self-determination.

Each session of this four-part series builds upon the previous one, taking community participants from basic understanding to advanced strategy and action planning. Register by October 21st at 12 PM ET (9:00 AM PT) to attend.
