We’re delighted to share that Sarah Woodbury has joined Maine Conservation Voters (MCV) and Maine Conservation Alliance (MCA) as our new Legislative Director!!

Sarah will lead our lobbying efforts at the State House and oversee the Environmental Priorities Coalition, Maine’s largest environmental coalition made up of more than 40 organizations committed to bold policy that acts on the climate crisis; furthers environmental justice; protects land, water, and wildlife; and promotes healthy communities.

Sarah brings over 15 years of experience in advocacy and communications, most recently as Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at Defend Our Health, where she was instrumental in the passage of a first-in-the-world law to outlaw PFAS from consumer products. 

Her wealth of experience, leadership, and deep passion for the environment and people make Sarah a powerful addition to the team. With her at the helm of our legislative work, we are well positioned to advance policies that protect clean water, healthy air, wildlife, and chart Maine’s clean energy future. 

We’re thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together.
