Dear John,
Over a week ago, Trump and his allies shut down the federal government, severely impacting our communities and environment. This government shutdown means higher costs, less access to life-saving healthcare, unattended and unprotected public lands, and people out of work. It provides Republicans with the perfect opportunity to cut clean energy projects and jobs, allow the oil and gas industry to take over our public lands, and pursue Trump’s energy agenda that dirties our air and increases utility costs.
During the shutdown, the Trump Administration has already proposed another major funding cut for clean energy projects all in blue states, losing Oregon over $400 million for these very projects ( read more [[link removed]] ).
We need your help, John. The consequences of this federal government shut down could be severe if our state does not take action. Will you make a generous contribution of $ 20 now to keep Oregon home? [[link removed]]

Our work here in Oregon is more important than ever. Just last week, Governor Tina Kotek signed an Executive Order to speed up the permitting process for clean energy projects, ensuring that they will be underway before the tax credit deadline next year — another Trump administration attack.
Now is the moment for our state lawmakers to take action. Oregon can stand up to Trump and his anti-climate agenda. We have already taken our first steps.
It’s crucial that our state lawmakers take action, but we need your support [[link removed]] to continue applying pressure on them to protect our environment and health, and bring relief to Oregonians. Oregon must be a leader on climate, and an example to the rest of the country of what climate action looks like.
Please, renew your membership and make your impact in this movement with a generous gift of $20 now. [[link removed]]

Join us to work together to keep Oregon the home we know and love, ensuring we stick to the commitments we value. The situation is dire, and now is the time to give and take a stand for Oregon. This will take all of us, but if we each contribute what we can, there’s so much we can do for our home.
Our work begins with you . Thank you for making it possible.
In solidarity,
