Right now in Harrisburg, Republicans have delayed the Pennsylvania state budget for over four months. And in Washington, they’re doing the same reckless game of chicken with a federal government shutdown.

Pennsylvania is home to over 66,000 federal workers. That’s not counting the military or postal workers.
The majority serve in the Department of Veterans Affairs, taking care of the people who put their lives on the line for our country.
Most of these jobs are in rural counties, where the federal government is often the biggest employer.
And yes — you probably know someone who lost their job the last time DOGE Republicans pushed through reckless cuts.

When Republicans force a shutdown, families can’t pay their bills. Veterans can’t access care. Small towns lose their economic anchors. And instead of fixing the mess, the GOP sends ICE agents to terrorize our neighbors in Pennsylvania farms and factories.

Let’s be clear: Republicans are in control of every single branch of government right now. This crisis is by design. It’s not about governing — it’s about dismantling the public services working families rely on.
