North Carolina GOP announces its own mid-decade gerrymander

- North Carolina became the latest GOP-controlled state to announce ([link removed] ) it will gerrymander its congressional map to please President Donald Trump. Republicans in the state have scheduled a vote for next week on their mid-decade power grab aimed at cementing a GOP edge in Congress.

- Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-Mass.) called out Trump and Republicans for using U.S. Marines as political props, warning it’s a dangerous step toward authoritarianism.
