The Texas Department of Insurance proposes updates to the "Texas Statistical Plan for Residential Risks" and the "Texas Private Passenger Auto Statistical Plan. "
The updates implement new reporting requirements in HB 2067 (89R, 2025) for insurers' reasons for declining, canceling, or nonrenewing coverage and for the number of each coverage decision.
TDI also proposes new rules to adopt by reference the updated statistical plans.
