Instead of complaining about Citizens United, we came up with a solution — and we’re talking about it live!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14, we’re having a free online information session about The Montana Plan, hosted by The Center for American Progress. Former Senator Jon Tester and our Founder, former Montana Commissioner of Political Practices Jeff Mangan, will be speaking. Please join us!
We’re using a ballot initiative, backed by over two centuries of Supreme Court precedent in corporate law, to make the Citizens United decision irrelevant in Montana. Once we win here, we’ll have a precedent — meaning there’s a blueprint to making this happen in all 49 other states.
On top of that, we have a bipartisan coalition of legal experts and government officials supporting our efforts, including former Sen. Tester and former Gov. Marc Racicot. It’s not about red vs. blue: it’s about getting undue corporate influence out of our politics for good!
We need to free our elections from being bought by millionaires and billionaires. This is how we’re going to get it done. Please, save your spot for our free event today:
We hope to see you tomorrow,
Transparent Election Initiative
P.S. If you’re not able to make it tomorrow, please read more about The Montana Plan here and consider chipping in to our work! We’re bringing our presentation to lecture halls and meeting centers across our state, and your contributions help put gas in our tanks to get there.
