Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month |
I had the honor of hosting the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion. This year’s celebration featured vibrant performances by D'Verzo Andino, PanAmerica SuperSonica, and Adolfo Romero. The
Hispanic Restaurant Association
brought together eleven restaurants representing some of the best cuisine Colorado has to offer. I also want to specially thank our featured artist, Norberto “Beto” Mojardin, David Olguín with Auraria Campus, and Alexis Newton with her exhibit, Calaveras en Mi Ciudad.
This event celebrated Colorado’s vibrant Hispanic community and the vast contributions to our state, our economy, and our communities. Earlier this year, we celebrated Colorado - Mexico Friendship Day, one of many ways we are showing that in Colorado, we cherish our strong ties with our neighbors and we will continue to grow and strengthen our partnerships regardless of what the federal government does.
We will continue to celebrate diversity as our strength, and to build a Colorado for All, where every person can live, work, thrive, and build a prosperous future.

Colorado’s National Leadership in the Adoption of Electric Vehicles |
When I said we were going to be one of the leading states for electric vehicles, I meant it. Colorado is a national leader in EVs, expanding access and creating pathways for Coloradans to purchase an EV at low-cost. I encourage all Coloradans who are thinking of buying an electric vehicle or have been holding off: get out there right now.
I announced an increase in point-of-sale electric vehicle (EV) rebates through the Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) program, helping ensure EVs remain affordable for all Coloradans as federal EV incentives expired on September 30. Starting November 3, 2025, VXC rebates will increase from $6,000 to $9,000 for new EV purchases and leases and $4,000 to $6,000 for used EV purchases and leases.
Colorado also has received federal approval for the final $12 million of its $56.5 million in funding from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program. To date, Colorado has already awarded nearly $25.6 million in NEVI funding to support 246 fast-charging ports along major transportation routes across the state.
We were already working overtime to make it even more convenient for people to charge up by helping businesses build out a network of charging stations across the state, and this will continue to help us do even more of that. It’s no coincidence that more than 80% of Colorado’s highway system is now within 30 miles of a fast-charging station, complementing the high number of EV sales in our state. EVs are fun, save people money and improve our air quality.
