John, we know your inbox is probably full of emails that look exactly like this. So first and foremost, we wanted to say thank you for just taking the time to open this message.

But in the interest of transparency, you should know: Yes, this is a fundraising email. At the end of this message, we’re going to ask you to chip in a few dollars to help out Josh Shapiro.

Listen, the last thing we want is to take your support for granted. We know it’s on us to provide you with a good reason why chipping in to Team Shapiro is a worthy investment. But instead of just one reason, we want to give you four. (We hope you’ll read them all, but if you’re in a hurry, here’s the best link to chip in!)

1. Pennsylvania is the most competitive state in the nation. Again and again, our elections are decided by razor-thin margins. That means we can’t become complacent — we need to work as hard as we possibly can to make sure Josh has all the resources he needs to keep Pennsylvania moving forward.


2. Josh knows how to get sh*t done. Working with a divided legislature, Josh Shapiro has delivered record funding to Pennsylvania’s public schools, delivered millions of free breakfasts to our students, slashed taxes, protected our fundamental freedoms, and so much more.


3. The far-right is already running negative ads against Josh. Look, we knew these attacks were coming — but it’s unbelievable just how false these ads are. But John, lies like these have spread unchecked before, and it can happen again if we don’t have the resources to respond effectively.


4. After last year’s elections, Josh is one of the last statewide Democrats left in Pennsylvania. 2024 was a gutpunch for so many of us, and we can’t let it happen again.
