John,

A couple of weeks ago, the Supreme Court struck down the Trump administration’s attempts to terminate Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

This is a HUGE win in the fight to protect the legal status of more than 650,000 young people who were previously at risk of deportation.

DACA recipients exemplify the best of America, John. I am relieved that these young people can continue to call our country home. But, while the victory is worth celebrating, there is no substitute for Congressional action that provides a legal pathway to citizenship for DACA-eligible immigrants.

The House has passed H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act, which provides exactly that. Now it’s up to the Senate to vote for this crucial piece of legislation. But if recent history is any indication, Mitch McConnell won't budge on this legislation -- not without serious public pressure.

John, will you join me in demanding that the Senate pass the Dream and Promise Act to provide a pathway to citizenship for DACA-eligible immigrants? [link removed]

While the Supreme Court's ruling means that the DACA program is safe for now, President Trump has threatened to do everything in his power to dismantle it. That means that DACA recipients and other young immigrants will have to live in uncertainty and fear until the Senate steps up and does its job.

John, we can’t allow young people to continue living in fear. The Senate must step up and pass H.R. 6. Can I count on you to sign this petition and show Mitch McConnell where this movement stands on the Dream and Promise Act?
