The government is shut down. Hundreds of thousands of Americans are out of work, and this time, they aren’t just furloughed, they’re being laid off.

Yet the NRCC is claiming that people like me are the ones “jeopardizing veterans, farmers, and small businesses.”

That’s nonsense. I’ve spent my entire career serving this country, running toward crisis instead of away from it. I’ve stood up for veterans, supported small business owners, and fought to make life better for working families who keep our communities running.

This shutdown wasn’t caused by people trying to solve problems. It was caused by politicians who care more about power and party loyalty than about people’s livelihoods. Rep. Young Kim voted with the extremists driving this chaos. She can’t claim to “support working families” while standing by a president who’s laying them off to make a point.

That’s not leadership. That’s cruelty.

If you’re ready for leaders who put people before politics, who tell the truth, do the work, & take the heat for doing what’s right, I’d be honored to have your support.

I’m not running to play the blame game. I’m running to get things done and to help fix what reckless leadership keeps breaking.
