Our federal government is trying to deploy National Guard troops in Portland under the pretense of “protecting” our biggest city. But what they actually want to do is bully people who are exercising their free speech rights in order to generate headlines for cable TV news and give fodder to right-wing social media influencers. 

President Trump is dividing our country, spouting dangerous rhetoric to try to turn people against each other.
