Friends,

For the past three years, it has been an honor to launch and lead Citizens for Free Enterprise (CFFE).

As you know, Opportunity and Free Enterprise were animating issues for me in running for public office. Having built a business (Cold Stone), I have great passion for these fundamental American promises. I know you do, too.

At CFFE we have sought to promote and protect those values — and we’ve done so with incredible determination and success. We’ve launched offices in multiple swing states, built a qualified team, invested in systems that never even existed before on the center-right, and we’ve organized staff and everyday Americans around these issues. It’s a cause I believe in, and I’m so proud of what our team has built.

Yet three years goes by fast! It feels like we just wrapped up in the Governor’s Office. And now with CFFE on solid footing, I have let our donors and board know that in February, I intend to transition out of the CEO role. There’s a lot of opportunities I’ve been excited about pursuing since leaving public office. As you know, there is great interest by states, organizations and people all across the country in replicating the success we had in Arizona on economic development, the tax code, regulatory reform and school choice. Those are just a few of things I’ll be involved in.

I’m incredibly grateful to Joe Ricketts and the Board of Directors for their confidence in me and all the great work we have done together.

I want you all to know, I’m so appreciative of your support, friendship and advocacy for the cause. I’m not going anywhere, and look forward to connecting soon!

Many thanks,
Citizens for Free Enterprise CEO & 23rd Governor of Arizona
