This is a longer email than I normally send, but it’s important to me you read to the end. I get that life is busy, so if you don’t have time, I hope you’ll take a moment to support my campaign for Senate. [ [link removed] ]

When I was walking the trails yesterday, I had a "Eureka" moment about this government chaos.

It hit me: We can actually fund healthcare coverage for regular folks, prevent massive price hikes, and solve the budget crisis all at once—by applying Mike Rounds’ own logic.

Here is the quick breakdown of the hypocrisy that really pisses me off:

* For Billionaires: Mike Rounds and the D.C. Country Club used a budget gimmick called "dynamic scoring" to make corporate tax giveaways permanent. They argued that extending these cuts wouldn't "cost anything" because the cuts were "already in law." The deficit be damned.
* For South Dakotans: Now, when it comes to extending ACA tax credits and preventing devastating Medicaid cuts for working families, suddenly it's "too expensive" and we need a government shutdown.

It's free when it helps the rich, but too costly when it helps you. That is not common sense—that is corruption, and it’s why our government is dysfunctional.

My idea is simple: Let’s call it The Mike Rounds Solution to Give South Dakotans Healthcare Coverage.

If Rounds can justify special budget rules to give billionaires "free" tax cuts, then he can justify using the same logic to protect healthcare benefits already available to South Dakota families. The opportunity to solve this is on the table, but he won't take it because he values the party line more than the people he serves.

As an Independent, I would never leave a common-sense solution on the table.

We are running a military-disciplined, honest campaign that focuses on competence, not chaos. That focus is already working: when voters hear my story, I lead Rounds 43% to 35% (an 8-point lead).

My fight is not against the Republican Party; it is against the hypocrisy and incompetence of career politicians like Mike Rounds.
