Team, it’s Andrea. I wanted to reach out with an update on Donald Trump’s latest attempt to sow chaos and disorder — and deploy troops onto the streets of American cities.

FIRST: Trump tried to federalize the National Guard and ILLEGALLY deploy troops onto the streets of Portland. 

THEN: A TRUMP-APPOINTED Judge BLOCKED the deployment, ruling that Trump has NO authority to send the National Guard into Portland.

BUT NOW: Donald Trump is refusing to throw in the towel and is continuing to spread blatant lies, in a gross attempt to justify his authoritarian attacks on our communities. 

I want to be very clear: The military has no place on our streets, and if Trump wants to push the boundaries here, Oregonians will hold him accountable. 

Today, it’s more important than ever that we prove we’re UNITED against Trump’s attempts to weaponize the military against the American people, in Oregon and beyond. Together, we can make Trump’s latest undemocratic scheme BACKFIRE, by ushering in a wave of Democratic support —  but I need supporters like you to have my back. Instead of sending resources to help Americans get through the Republican shutdown, Donald Trump STILL insists on attacking Portland, spreading lies about our people, and trying to justify his authoritarian scheme to send troops onto the streets of American cities.

Donald Trump might believe he’s a king who operates above the Constitution, but Americans elect Presidents — not kings.

I’m doing everything in my power to oppose Trump’s massive federal overreach and defend Oregon families from these attacks — but I need you on board.
