Hi John,
With both Pride and No Kings Day happening this weekend in the Valley, there are lots of fun ways to build community and meet community members who are resisting the current administration and fighting for a better world.
We would love to see folks at the big events this weekend and at some of the preparation activities that are happening during the week. Join us!

No Kings Safety Team Training | WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY
|
Excited to help make No Kings Day a success? Come join the Nonviolence and Safety Team!
No Kings events are peaceful and non-violent in a world with increasing political tension and military presence. In order to make sure that the 10/18 event is a success, organizers need all hands on deck to join the Nonviolence and Safety Team, which will help keep an eye on the crowd, deescalate any tensions if there are hecklers or instigators, and guide the Can Drive and March in Downtown Phoenix.
There are two community trainings available for volunteers in the lead up- 10/15 and 10/17. Volunteers only need to sign up for one of these training sessions. RSVPing helps organizers know whether we have enough volunteers and trainers to make these events a success. See you there!

Art Night at Bottleshop 48! | THURSDAY, October 16th
|
The Art Working Group is putting on an Art Night for folks who want to make signs for both Phoenix Pride and No Kings Day at Bottleshop 48 this Thursday!
Got a poster or project that you're in the middle of? Bring it!
We'll have a couple of banners, markers, paint, and poster board, but BYO art supplies is always welcome!

No Kings Day! | SATURDAY, October 18th
|
These monthly events to push back on the administration just keep growing, with smaller protests popping up all over Arizona!
Phoenix Metro DSA members will be at (at least!) 3 events around the Valley: Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa.
The Phoenix event at the State Capitol will be the largest, so we'd love folks to volunteer on the safety team to help. At the Tempe event, meet up with Bobby and members of his campaign's working group. Finally, in Mesa, there will be members of the Avelo Boycott Group!

Phoenix Pride Parade| SUNDAY, October 19th

On Sunday, Phoenix Metro DSA will be marching in the Phoenix Pride Parade!
Whether it's your first time going to Pride or you're a Veteran, all are welcome. Click below to RSVP. We can't wait to see you there!
