My friend,

I can’t even count the number of times folks have told me about not being able to pay for their health insurance. Or not being able to afford putting food on the table or paying their kid’s college tuition. Especially during these challenging times.

Even though my name is on the ballot this year, this race is not about me. It’s about folks like you. It’s about creating a future where no one lives in fear of going to the doctor because they can’t afford another unexpected bill. A future where no one worries about the cost of going to college because it would saddle them with debt. No one.

Look, I hate sending emails like these that ask you to pitch in at such a difficult time for so many, I really do. I know how hard you work for every dollar in your pocket.

But I want you to know that every time I ask for your help, it’s because we need every penny we can muster to build the kind of grassroots campaign that can knock out the wealthy donors and corporations trying to swing this election and stack the deck against everyday Americans.
