with No Kings Day in less than a week, we just gotta fill you in on
important prep and training calls. So today's update is a shortened one --
no intro from Ezra, no newsy explainers, just your to-dos and some key
links.

October 18 the biggest day of peaceful protest in modern US history.
We have even more events planned on Saturday than we did for the first
No Kings Day in June, putting us on track for a truly historic day of
defiance! Make your plan to join today, and then invite a few people
to join you.

local event big, safe, and successful! All week long, Indivisible and
our partners are preparing you for No Kings Day with calls/trainings
covering everything from event promotion, to strategic organizing, to
safety and de-escalation.
5. [ [link removed] ]Email your GOP senators to demand a bipartisan spending deal -- and
remind them they own this TRUMP SHUTDOWN! Republicans are still
rejecting a common-sense deal to end the shutdown and reverse MAGA
healthcare cuts. Let’s stay loud to show our resolve and remind the
GOP it’s on them to reopen the government.

this fall. We’re making 1,000,000 calls to voters to help VA Democrats
build a vital defense against Trump’s authoritarian overreach -- a
