Dear John,

For years, people said: “It won’t happen here”, but just look at Trump’s America today:
* Masked agents ransacking communities
* Mass deportation camps, even sweeping up US citizens
* Soldiers on the streets of the capital, a show of force against a city that rejects the President’s politics
* Tearing up international commitments and making the country a global laughing stock
* A tidal wave of lies and disinformation, where truth is no longer the expectation

It’s a chilling picture of democracy under siege. And many still want to believe Britain could never follow that path. But the truth is, we’re already on it.

Nigel Farage has been borrowing from Trump’s playbook for years. The rhetoric is the same: scapegoating immigrants, stoking grievance, undermining Britain’s role in the world.

Where Trump shouts, Farage mutters “that’s something to look at” – but the policies are clear. Step by step, he’s bringing that same brand of politics to our shores.

And just think how far we’ve slipped. A decade ago, David Cameron dismissed Farage’s party as “fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists.” He was forced to apologise for saying it. Now those same people are the most popular party in Britain.

Farage is treated as a heavyweight, not a fringe agitator. Ideas once laughed off are shaping the political mainstream.

This didn’t happen overnight.

It’s the slow burn of a broken system. One that rewards division, encourages short-term thinking, and locks millions out of power. A system so warped it doesn’t contain extremism, it amplifies it.

That system is now paving the way for Nigel Farage.

And if we don’t fix it, the policies Trump is unleashing in America today will be Britain’s tomorrow.

We are building a movement to fix our broken democracy – to replace a system that fails us with one that gives people real power and real representation.

But we can’t do it without you. Please help us push back against Nigel Farage and the cracks in our democracy that’s enabling him:
POWER THE PUSHBACK ([link removed])

If we don’t act, the story that started in America will end here. We must push back.

Thank you for your support,

Conor
