Distributor Returns due October 20

Your September return and payment for Cigarette Tax or Tobacco Tax are due October 20. 

Remember that you can file your return and pay any tax due electronically through e-Services.

Cigarette Tax and Tobacco Tax License Renewal

Distributors and subjobbers who want to sell or distribute cigarettes or tobacco products in Minnesota during 2026-2027 must renew their Cigarette Tax or Tobacco Tax license with the Minnesota Department of Revenue. We must receive the application and fee by November 15, 2025. We will have more details for you soon.

Holiday Schedule for Cigarette Stamp Orders

The cigarette stamp order ship dates are as follows for the weeks of:

• Veterans Day: Wednesday, November 12, and Friday, November 14
• Thanksgiving: Monday, November 24, and Tuesday, November 25
• Christmas: Monday, December 22, and Tuesday, December 23
• New Year's: Tuesday, December 30, and Friday, January 2

We must receive your order by 10 a.m. for same-day shipping. We will process orders received after 10 a.m. on the next shipping day.
