The goal of the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) is to create an actionable, equitable, and comprehensive plan to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We'll share progress on statewide climate planning efforts and Puget Sound regional efforts at this webinar.
Tribes, state and local governments, subject matter experts, and the public, especially those in communities most impacted by climate change, are involved in CCAP development. This meeting is geared toward the general public and those interested in learning more about draft CCAPS for Washington state and the Puget Sound Region.
Meeting goals
* Hear updates from the Washington State Department of Commerce, Department of Ecology, and the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency on their draft CCAPs.
* Learn how public feedback is shaping these plans and explore key themes emerging from both efforts.
* Get an overview of the findings and recommendations from the 2025 Summary Report on the Science of Human Caused Climate Change and Recommendations for Washington States Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Limits.
