Hi there! My name is Cosmos, and I am a bachelor stallion roaming over 2 million acres in Wyoming’s checkerboard landscape. I spend my time sparring with other stallions and practicing for when I have a band of my own.
But thanks to federal mismanagement, my freedom — and even my life — is at risk. And now, every moment in the wild is precious, because we are fighting to survive against forces that could tear us apart at any moment.
Wild horses like me need your voice — tell decision-makers to leave us wild and free. [[link removed]]
HELP PROTECT MY HERD [[link removed]]
Three months ago, I watched those closest to me get brutalized and ripped from our herd.
Every morning, my herd and I roam across the wide Wyoming range, noses lifted to the wind, ears flicking at every sound. By midday, when the sun is high, we move together across the open land, following trails worn smooth by generations before us.

But on this day, the deafening thrum of helicopters overhead sent waves of terror through the herds. Panic erupted. We started running for our lives, with no clear direction in mind. Some of us stumbled as we tried to escape, while others were on the brink of exhaustion.

In just a moment, over 1,600 horses just like me lost their freedom. Some of them are now confined in disease-prone holding facilities, while others are no longer with us.
This is the reality for us wild horses: One day, we’re free, and the next day we’re held in overburdened corrals. One day, we’re running wild, the next day we’re injured by long chases from helicopters. One day, we’re in the safety of our herd, and then suddenly, they are nowhere to be found.
Jack, this is not freedom. We must be able to roam free and have no fear of losing our loved ones to brutal helicopter roundups or even death. Don’t let my friends and family be taken from these lands. Speak up for wild horses today. [[link removed]]
We’re counting on you for our survival.
Giddy up,
Cosmos
