Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump have been very clear: If they’re still in power in 2021, they’re coming for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Vanity Fair just reported that Trump told Sen. John Barrasso that he thinks gutting Medicare would be a “fun second-term project.”

And McConnell went on the record before the 2018 election to blame the growing deficit from their corporate tax giveaway on our earned benefits―even though Social Security cannot add one penny to the deficit.

The choice in 2020 will be clear: Democrats in the House of Representatives are preparing to pass the Social Security 2100 Act, which will increase benefits across the board and shore up Social Security’s finances through the 22nd century. Remember: Trump and McConnell spent their first year in power trying to ram through Trumpcare, which would have devastated Medicare and Medicaid, and left as many as 30 million people without health insurance.

Remember: Donald Trump has proposed trillions of dollars in cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid in every budget he’s proposed as President.
