Hey Everyone,

Thank you for all your resistance efforts this past week! We also want to thank everybody who came to our Member Meeting: One Million Rising. By working together, we will make a difference! We will be sharing initiatives developed during today’s meeting in the coming weeks.

This is the big week! Saturday, October 18th is No Kings day across the nation! Join us for our No Kings rally or find a No Kings event near you here ([link removed]) .

No Kings!

In June, No Kings Day was one the biggest days of protest in the nation. On October 18th, we will exceed those numbers! Join us as we stand up for our democracy and declare “No Kings Then! No Kings Now!”

Calls to action opportunities and community conversations begin at 1 p.m. Speakers will start at 2 p.m. The full schedule and more details will be released later this week.

* NATIONAL: MORAL MONDAYS IN GEORGETOWN - OCTOBER 13TH
Join Georgetown Resistance for a weekly protest at Scott County Courthouse (101 E. Main St in Georgetown) from 4:45 p.m until 5:45 p.m. The group asks that you bring non-confrontational, positive signs focused on issues. You can join their private Facebook group ([link removed]) for updates.
* NATIONAL: SUPPORT OUR VETERANS AT THE VA - OCTOBER 15TH

* NATIONAL: DEMAND THE EXTENSION OF THE ACA PREMIUM TAX CREDITS!
The Senate could not reach an agreement on the continuing resolution to keep the government funded until November. The current resolution allows the Affordable Care Act premium subsidies to expire. Without these subsidies, ACA premiums will skyrocket for 2026. The Democrats are taking a stand and demanding the extension of the tax credits. Call Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul and ask that they vote for an agreement that extends the ACA premium subsidies. The 5 Calls Website has up-to-date information and talking points ([link removed]) .
* NATIONAL: DEMAND THE RELEASE OF THE EPSTEIN FILES!!!
Thomas Massie says he has the votes, but just to be sure, we have to keep pressuring our electeds. If you live in KY-6 congressional district, call Andy Barr and demand the full public release of the Epstein Files - (859) 219-1366. If you live in a different congressional district, please contact your representative. The 5 Calls website ([link removed]) has up-to-date information and talking points.
* NATIONAL: CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
