On the 15th anniversary of the BDS call: Let’s act to stop Israel’s latest land grab

Israel’s proposed annexation of its illegal settlement blocs in the West Bank is the latest stage in the more than century-long dispossession of the Palestinian people. The proposed plan will further entrench Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, and further fragment Palestinians, who will be left with disconnected cantons and denied their basic fundamental rights guaranteed under international law.

This proposed plan builds on Israel’s policy of “creeping” annexation of the West Bank, which has been incremental in nature since 1967 but is now being opportunistically expedited. What impact will annexation have on Palestinians? What can we do to combat Israel’s unlawful conduct in the West Bank and overall Apartheid structure in historic Palestine?

We’re holding the webinar on Thursday to mark the 16th anniversary of the International Court of Justice’s historic opinion ruling Israel’s wall illegal, and the 15th anniversary of the Palestinian civil society call for campaigns of boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS). 

Israel’s pending annexation of additional land in the West Bank is an opportunity to grow our campaigns to sanction Israel and hold Israel accountable for its actions at the International Criminal Court.
