Across the country, millions will gather to send one message: that power belongs to the people, not the billionaires. From Elon Musk to Peter Thiel to the other billionaire donors behind Trump’s campaign, the ultra-rich are tightening their grip on power while ordinary Americans pay the price.
Trump’s tax cuts have locked in record windfalls for the wealthy and corporate elite while working families struggle to get by. This billionaire-first agenda is deepening inequality and threatening the democratic foundation of our country.
That is why millions of Americans are uniting to reject authoritarianism, expose billionaire greed, and fight for a democracy that serves the people.
Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund is fighting to hold billionaires accountable and make them pay their fair share. We are working to close loopholes that let the rich shield trillions, to expose corporate tax evasion, and to demand investments that strengthen the middle class instead of enriching the powerful few.

On October 18, Americans across all 50 states will rally for No Kings: A National Day of Action for Democracy, a peaceful protest to reject Trump’s authoritarianism and the billionaire control of our government.
Trump and his allies have already pushed through policies that put billionaires in charge of our economy and our democracy. Their tax cuts are giving hundreds of billions to the richest Americans. Since the 2017 Trump-GOP tax law was first enacted, seven of the nation’s largest healthcare corporations have dodged more than $34 billion in taxes, and Republicans have now succeeded in giving them more tax breaks. The result is less funding for healthcare, education, and infrastructure.[1]
To fight back against this corruption of power and democracy, millions of Americans from small towns to state capitals will gather to send a message loud and clear: America is not for sale. Not to Trump. Not to Elon Musk. Not to the hundred billionaire families who poured more than $2.6 billion into the 2024 elections to buy influence and control.[2]
That is why the No Kings rallies matter. This is our moment to push back against the rise of authoritarian power and the billionaire class trying to cement control over our country.
