It should only take about 60 seconds or so – but before you click that link, I need to make this crystal clear:

Every person who calls Colorado home has a right to health care, mental health care, and reproductive health care.

When I had cancer, the operation that saved my life cost $53,000 – an amount that would bankrupt people without insurance.

But President Trump and his Republican majorities would rather let a lifeline that allows millions of people to afford health insurance expire – and shut down the government over it – than come to the table to keep coverage within reach of regular families.

So now, my top priority in the Senate is holding the line to save Affordable Care Act tax credits and stop the GOP from doubling your premiums, or worse.

And it's why, as Colorado's governor, I will fight tooth and nail to protect our Medicaid funding, bring down premiums and prescription drug prices, and ensure everyone can get the care they need.

It's a disgrace that the leader of the richest country on Earth is content to let working families go bankrupt trying to pay for the essential care they need. So it's imperative that we fix it – starting here in Colorado.
