Want to know the real reason why Donald Trump is pushing Republicans so hard to gerrymander their states’ Congressional maps? It’s because they know they’re losing.

Here’s what’s going on:

Donald Trump’s approval ratings are underwater. So, across the country, MAGA Republicans have launched an unprecedented crusade to silence voters and hand Donald Trump a permanent, unaccountable majority in Congress — no matter how many voters reject their party at the ballot box next year.

In Texas, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Ohio, Louisiana, and Florida so far, Republicans are trying to redraw their congressional maps to insulate Donald Trump from the will of voters.

It’s an all-out assault on our democracy. And it’s straight out of the authoritarian playbook. And it’s completely terrifying.

If you’re as worried as we are, this isn’t the time to sit back and just hope that things will get better. Brittany knows we need to fight. We need to organize. We need to protest. And we need to do everything in our power to win so overwhelmingly next year, these gerrymanders won’t make a difference. That’s why we need your help.

Here’s what you can do:

• Organize with our friends at Vote Save America to fight back by helping turn out Californians for Prop 50 so Democrats can take the House majority;


• Show up at community events like the No Kings protest in October 18th to show we won’t accept this as the new norm;


• Use your voice to speak out against what’s happening, whether it’s on social media, in a letter to the editor, or in conversations you have with friends and family; and


• Put your money where your mouth is by supporting Brittany Pettersen so she can hold her must-win seat in Colorado, supporting Frontline Democrats so they can withstand Republican attacks and hold their seats, and supporting the Democratic nominees in the Districts in Play who will help win the seats needed to retake the majority.
