Fossil fuel polluters have left a legacy of health harms, including breast cancer. However, throughout the era of COVID-19 the industry has been granted numerous bailouts, has been granted several regulatory rollbacks, and has continued to invest in plastic infrastructure. Plastics sourced from fossil fuels pollute at every step from production to use and disposal, and they continue to threaten our health.
The Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act (H.R. 5845), will hold industry accountable and is a step forward in strengthening regulations that protect us from industry exposures linked to breast cancer.
