The wannabe-king Trump and his administration are ignoring the rule of law, our democracy, and the Constitution. They're terrorizing immigrant communities and weaponizing the legal system to attack the people they don't like. They're firing federal workers who ensure the safety of our water and make sure that seniors get their Social Security checks. They're taking away access to health care and food from vulnerable communities and increasing the cost of health insurance premiums to unaffordable levels.
But the American people have had enough. We're taking mass peaceful action, and it's working, because the truth is: Trump's power is much weaker than he pretends it is.
When Trump tried to cancel Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show, millions of us pushed back in defense of free speech—and demanded ABC put Kimmel back on the air. And we won. In Kimmel's own words, Trump "tried his best to cancel me … Instead, he forced millions of people to watch the show. That backfired bigly."2
As he sees his dictatorial power rejected, Trump is lashing out, threatening to send the National Guard into even more American cities.3 Illinois Governor JB Pritzker explained that to consolidate power, the Trump administration is "following a playbook: cause chaos, create fear and confusion."4 He added, "I am not afraid, and I won't back down."5

MoveOn's working with a broad coalition of organizations, and our role in the planning is critical.
