This kid right here has no idea that one day she'll become a U.S. Representative. But let me take a step back for a second, John, because my story begins with my dad.
Born in Poland, my dad moved to the United States when he was just 4 years old as a Holocaust survivor and refugee of World War II. He worked hard to get into Columbia University and to become an aviator in the U.S. Navy. He dedicated his life to service to others and always stressed the value of a good education.
His story is one of hard work and determination – of perseverance through the worst of human cruelty and violence. But now, we're watching President Trump and his MAGA allies push their own cruel, violent agenda on Americans: Project 2025.
John, I've looked to my dad as inspiration throughout my time in Congress, always putting the needs of those I promised to serve above my own – as it should be. Our president, on the other hand, continues to put profit and his own selfish interests at the forefront.
That's why he's ripping away affordable health care from millions, cutting federal food assistance, and promoting hateful, discriminatory rhetoric. And he's able to do so because he has the support of Republicans in Congress.
Looking ahead to the 2026 midterms, I'm not going to let a Republican businessman, who would inevitably be another rubber stamp vote on the chaos and harmful policies of Republicans in Washington, replace me in Congress. And I know that little girl smiling with her dad in the picture above wouldn't either.
I'm in this fight for my family and yours, John. And I promise to continue fighting to hold this administration accountable and create opportunity for all Pennsylvanians. But I'm counting on folks like you to make sure we can continue this progress. Please, will you chip in $5 ahead of my midnight deadline so we can defend the future of PA-06 and flip the House blue?
