As we've been saying for months, there are clear differences between who shows up to vote in a special election versus a general election.
Here's how The Economist breaks it down:
"In recent years the Democrats have found greater support among college-educated voters, who are more likely to turn out in off-cycle elections [Special Elections]. [...] The Republican nominee, Donald Trump, has shown he can mobilise less engaged, non-college voters. These voters might not choose to turn out for an interim [Special] contest [...]"
In other words, larger demographic shifts in the Democratic electorate means we tend to perform better in special elections.
With that knowledge, we have to invest everything we have in winning these races. If we win all the potential special elections, we will put ourselves on the path to FLIP the House and stop the worst of the Trump presidency.
Fellow Democrat, if we told you a small contribution could be all that stands between Trump and full control of the government, wouldn't it be worth it. It's this simple, we need your support. We need the support of the thousands of folks just like you reading this email. Will you please chip in any amount, if it's $25, $50, or a more generous contribution so we can help these candidates win?
