The Trump administration has weakened or flat-out eliminated one hundred environmental protections, many with direct roles in protecting the clean air and water of Minnesota.
Congress must pass the Boundary Waters Protection and pollution Prevent Act (H.R. 5598). Contact your member of Congress today and tell them to support this bill. Save the Boundary Waters’ Executive Director Tom Landwehr published an editorial in Minnesota’s largest newspaper, the Star Tribune, this week. “We live in uncertain times. Amid unprecedented crises and a looming presidential election, the Trump administration is trying to steal everything that is not nailed down — including the BWCA...[we] must act now to protect the world’s greatest canoe country wilderness.”  You are part of this national movement to protect the Boundary Waters Wilderness, and we are working through every strategic avenue to win, including political advocacy, science, grassroots organizing, and litigation. Representatives and Senators across the U.S. can help make sure the Boundary Waters is protected by supporting the Boundary Waters Protection and Pollution Prevention Act (H.R. 5598) - tell your members of Congress to get on board.
