No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
In June, the “No Kings” movement successfully organized millions of people across the country to drown out Trump’s militarized birthday parade with thousands of peaceful protests to declare: America has no kings.
The power of the people upended Trump’s attempt to throw himself a coronation, and the story of that day became the strength of a movement rising against his authoritarian abuses of power.
Since then, Trump has doubled down on these abuses. His allies are sending masked agents into our streets, terrorizing communities, profiling, arresting, and detaining people without due process. Threatening elections and rigging maps to silence voters. Gutting healthcare and environmental protections. Spreading hate against what he calls the “enemy from within.”
The next No Kings Day is Saturday, October 18. I hope you’ll join us to take part in peaceful action on that day!
Every protest, no matter how big or small, will send a message that the power belongs to us — We the People.
