John, we are now halfway through the year, and four months into this pandemic. And while so many things have changed around us, far too much remains the same:

Tens of millions of us are still out of work,
The rent was due — and likely missed — for millions more this past Wednesday,
COVID-19 cases continue to skyrocket, and the White House STILL has no coherent plan to do anything about it.

But at the same time, there's hope.

Things that many once said were impossible are now becoming possible. We're seeing uprisings in every state, and calls to defund the police and invest in our communities are echoing not just in the streets, but in City Council meetings too.

Candidates like Jamaal Bowman are winning while championing a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and a bold Reconstruction Agenda to dismantle systemic racism. And our team is organizing undeterred into the summer to make sure more WFP champions have what they need to win in November and advance these issues even further.
