After failing to do the bare minimum that his job requires – keep the government functioning – Bill Huizenga is now claiming on social media that the Democrats' caused the shutdown.

This is exactly the problem. Rather than come to the table to find a solution, our supposed leaders would rather get online and cast blame.

Huizenga is part of the problem, and our district deserves better than the status quo.

We’re putting together a plea to Huizenga to come to the table and reopen the government. Federal workers deserve better, as do the folks here in Michigan who rely on federal services. Would you add your name to our letter?
