Dear Friends,

Forward Together New Orleans has been busy! And it is all thanks to you.

In the spring of 2019, Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s transition team came together after a year to launch Forward Together New Orleans. Our goal was to revisit the dreams of the transition and compliment the goals of the city as a nonprofit. Forward Together serves as a resource bank of all types that will live on to serve future administrations. FTNO aims to take on the projects that will make New Orleans better for all its residents.

As we look to the future, we need your support to continue to grow and serve our community. In reflecting on this last year, FTNO has made some incredible progress. YOUR support today will help us continue this crucial work.
Cam Jordan's Dreambuilders
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cam Jordan’s Dreambuilders Foundation and the UnitedHealthcare donated $15,000 to support the technology needs of New Orleans youth & the Helping Mothers & Babies Initiative. This funding supported summer programs focused on juvenile justice involvement. A loan program for laptops, tablets, and hotspots was created so that young people still have the opportunity to pursue workforce readiness training opportunities.
Helping Mothers & Babies
FTNO directed $30,000 to the Office of Youth & Families to provide female and infant hygiene products to families in need. Over the course of a month, the Office of Youth & Families hosted four distribution events to provide partner organizations with over 200,000 diapers and training pants, over 40,000 feminine hygiene products and over 15,000 baby food products. Through partnerships with some of the hardest working organizations in the city, we were able to help 750 families in need with essential resources for taking care of their kids and themselves.
Cash Money Records Pays June Rent for Hundreds of Tenants in New Orleans
When countless New Orleanians lost their incomes as a result of COVID-19, many were left without the means to pay rent. Cash Money Records donated $225,000 to alleviate the burden on New Orleanians. “The legacy of Cash Money belongs to the city of New Orleans. There’s nothing more important to us than giving back to the brothers and sisters who live on those same streets we grew up on."
COVID relief for Immigrant Communities
Forward Together has managed the distribution of $750,000 to over 500 families and community organizations that directly serve immigrant communities in New Orleans. We are thrilled that nearly 3,000 families have applied and your donations will make it possible to help even more people. Funds have been granted to grassroots organizations to continue operations to support our invaluable and vulnerable communities.
As we continue this work, we look forward to filling critical gaps in providing service and relief to the people of New Orleans in these trying times. The grassroots work that New Orleanians are doing to help their communities flourish is what makes this city so great.  Forward Together needs YOUR help to continue providing these resources. Chip in today to help build a better, more inclusive New Orleans.

Thank you,
— Forward Together New Orleans
