Yesterday I visited multiple groups across Chicago.

Every meeting affirmed my position:

Trump’s aggressive immigration enforcement tactics and misuse of the military to intimidate American citizens in their own communities are dangerous and must be stopped.

In the last few weeks in Illinois, we’ve seen how the Trump Administration has disregarded public safety and trust in the name of mass deportations:

Masked officers without any sort of identification detaining citizens without explanation in broad daylight. Deploying the National Guard without request of the governor. Calling for the arrest of elected officials.

This is straight out of the dictator playbook, and it has to stop. Right here. Right now.

I met with constituents in some of the most impacted communities by the ICE raids.

I visited a shelter to hear directly from those affected.

I saw peaceful protests abiding by law enforcement at the Broadview ICE facility.

I’m doing everything in my power to stop the Trump Administration from abusing theirs. But I can’t do this important work alone. No one can.

So I’m asking directly: Will you pitch in whatever you can afford to show your support? Every dollar helps continue my work holding the Trump Administration accountable.
