Happy Sunday, True Texans!
We had a great weekend! While Fran and I were with our incredible Harris County peeps teaching a group of youth how to be activists, another group of True Texans was at the SREC meeting censuring crappy State Reps, while another group of True Texans was having a friendly competition to see which city could knock the most doors for Leigh Wambsganss for Texas Senate ! And that's just the stuff I knew about! I'm certain more of you were doing other incredible things as True Texan activists. This is why we built the army! Wow! Big thanks all around!
These youth gave up an entire Saturday to take 5 classes:
TTP 101 - who we are and why we do what we do
Citizen Advocacy - how to be effective
Constitution Bootcamp - the formation and relevance of our rule book
True Texas Liberty - a study of the -isms (capitalism, socialism, etc)
Campaigns & Elections - how to run, how to help someone run
And now they are CERTIFIED TRUE TEXANS! Congratulations!
About Those Censures... Hats off to all those who worked on getting State Reps censured. From educating the masses locally, to rallying the votes among Precinct Chairs at the county level, to pressing the SREC members to do the right thing, you have been there. Maybe the final results at the meeting yesterday were not as powerful as we all hoped (no one got kicked off the ballot, and several bad characters skated), but the impact you've made is pretty great. The State Reps were called out, exposed, and filled with fear. When a politician fears the accountability you impose, you hold the power. So this is a win for Texas, no question. Here's a rundown of the state-level decisions for the Reps that previously received county-level censures:
Censured by the County: Dustin Burrows, Angie Chen Button, Cody Harris, Stan Lambert, Jeff Leach, Morgan Meyer, Angelia Orr, Jared Patterson, Dade Phelan, Gary VanDeaver
Censured by the County AND the State: Lambert, Orr, Patterson, Phelan, VanDeaver - for all of these, they received penalties 1 & 2, which are being encouraged not to run and the GOP can fund against them, but not #3, which is keeping them off the ballot altogether.
Which one is your favorite? I think mine is probably VanDeaver, who was personally responsible for kiling the bill my daughter needed to go to college. He admitted to the bill author's face that he killed it as a vendetta for supporting someone who ran against him. Real mature, huh? I also heard from several that Patterson is their favorite censure. He's certainly worthy as well! Heck... all of them are, so this is a good weekend for Texas.
Survey Says! This should be fun! You know I've been drawing attention to the unacceptable way UNT has handled the death threats a teenage student has been receiving. Many of you have jumped in to demand action, but nothing is being done. Well, get this. UNT just put out a survey asking how their police department is doing! Ha ha! You can't make this stuff up. This is the same police department that treated Mary-Catherine like the criminal. When they were assigned to escort her to classes, she needed an additional escort because she still didn't feel safe! You can take the survey here. Not sure how long it will be open, so hurry! Will they listen to us now???
Good News! Did you see this?
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow, and thank you, Kash Patel. True Texas Project has been on "the list" for about a decade, quoted in every liberal rag, inciting antifa to show up with submachine guns at our events.
This is probably a good time to remind everyone of my all-time favorite TTP meme:
16 years and counting. We ain't stopping now.
ID, Please! Are you tired of people being allowed a voter registration without proving their US citizenship? Me too! Thanksfully, America First Legal has filed a critical petition with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission demanding rule-making to REQUIRE documentary proof of U.S. citizenship for federal voter registration. No more honor system—end non-citizen voting fraud once and for all!
Over 15,000 comments have already come in, but we need YOUR voice to flood this docket and make it impossible to ignore. The comment period is OPEN until November 15 — don't wait! Take 2 minutes to submit your comment. Here's a sample comment:
"As a concerned American, I support requiring documentary proof of citizenship for voter registration to ensure only eligible citizens vote in federal elections. This protects our democracy from fraud."
Share this request with friends, and let's bury them in support! God Bless America!
