At 21 years old, I was part of Marine special forces - slipping across enemy lines in the dark.
I wasn’t sitting in a classroom or climbing a political ladder. I was a Reconnaissance Marine - the Marines’ elite special forces - heading into combat in Desert Storm.
Our mission was as dangerous as it gets: sneak across the border, map out enemy positions, and call in airstrikes if needed.
We walked into traps. We engaged in firefights. For four years, that was my life.
Not every Marine saw combat but my unit did and we ended up earning the Combat Action Ribbon for it. I was personally awarded a Meritorious Mast for going beyond the call of duty, showing initiative and judgment when it mattered most.
Those years forged me. They taught me that freedom isn’t guaranteed - it’s fought for, earned, and protected.
And today, I see a different kind of fight. Open borders. Washington overreach. Radical politicians who don’t share our values.
That’s why I’m running for Congress. To step up once again for our families, our freedoms, and our future.
