With its loud, melodious calls and elegant tail plumages, the Long-tailed Duck has long been a hallmark of cold, northern waters. But this once-abundant seaduck is now teetering on the edge of disaster. They’ve lost more than half of their populations in the past 50 years, and need immediate conservation action if we are to bring these birds back.
This World Migratory Bird Day, birds need you more than ever. Please soar to their defense by starting an annual donation before midnight while your first gift could go 2X as far to power our best work on behalf of birds. ([link removed])

Birds have never faced more crises than they do today. The latest State of the Birds report found that 112 birds, including the Long-tailed Duck, are at a critical “Tipping Point.” Habitats are disappearing due to climate change and human activity, and these species show steep downward trends in population. But there’s hope in action—and we have practical, effective solutions. Through research, policy advocacy, hemispheric partnerships, and habitat restoration, we’re working to protect migration pathways across the Americas.
We’re counting on your steadfast support to protect birds and the places they need—not just today, but tomorrow, too. Please don’t wait: Start your annual donation while your first gift could be matched, up to $30,000. Hurry, this special offer ends at midnight tonight! ([link removed])
